Amy was born and raised right here in District 7, in the Fair Oaks and Carmichael communities.
She is a mom, wife, community member, volunteer, and Mimi to three precious grandbabies. She and her husband Mike have five adult children and live in one of the unincorporated, rural parts of the district.
She is also an educator, recently completing 40 years of service in the California K-12 public school system as a teacher, elementary and middle school principal, and superintendent of schools. During most of these years, Amy was raising her own two children and supporting her family.

Integrity, compassion and justice guide and drive Amy’s service. She has a long and strong track record of supporting children, families, and communities in all types of communities - suburban, urban, and rural, big and small, those impacted by poverty and those that are not. Because of her own life experiences, Amy is committed to listening and to better understanding what you need as a member of our community.
Amy is committed to bringing stronger support and services to the families, children and all people of our region so everyone can have a better life.
